It is the downy winter undercoat obtained from the Cashmere domestic goat which only gives about 150gr. per year. This makes it one of the most precious animal fibres at all.

Furfelt Cashmere
Cashmere wool is an extremely fine (14 up to 19 microns max.) yet strong fibre. It is light and soft and still extremely warm to wear, much warmer than the equivalent weight in sheep's wool.
